An unbroken century partnership between Tim Vokes (60) and David Banks (41) got hosts Sparsholt home by five wickets against Hook & Newnham Basics II, who posted a below par 222-5.

Opener Alex Brown and Ben Allnutt, with a late 45 not out, top scored for Hook, who were probably 25 runs or so short of a competitive target. The match was in the balance, but once Vokes and Banks got going Sparsholt took charge and were home with ten balls to spare.
