ECB and Club Codes of Conduct and Spirit of the Game

Simon Buckingham12 Jan - 20:44

The ‘Spirit of the Game’

As Members of the Club, whether a player, official, parents or a guest or anyone else connected with the Club you must comply with the Clubs Codes of Conduct, the ECB's regulations and the Spirit of Cricket.

The Leagues are taking steps to improve discipline and are introducing more penalties for behaviour that falls below acceptable standards both on and of the pitch.

The Club fully supports this action. To this end the Club has updated its disciplinary procedures and we are updating our Codes of Conduct in line with the ECB's current regulations.

Our Codes of Conduct apply to all Members, not just senior and colts players. We want the Club to be successful but equally we want everyone to enjoy the Cricket, whether that is the training, indoor and outdoor games, or social functions.

The ‘Spirit of the Game’ involves RESPECT for:
Your opponents
Your own Captain and team.
The role of the Umpires.
The games traditional values.

A copy of the Spirit of the Game is attached. Our updated Code of Conduct for Members and Guests will be published shortly.
